Company
Chalk is a mobile communication software company with roots in enterprise technology platforms and video production. For over ten years, Chalk has been helping organizations communicate more effectively with their employees, business partners and customers.
In 2006, with the number of smartphone-dependent workers on the rise, Chalk recognized the need for a multimedia-rich, secure and trackable mobile communication channel that could help organizations effectively communicate and adapt in real time.
Chalk Pushcast Software, Chalk's patent-pending mobile communication platform, was launched in May of 2007 (as Mobile chalkboard). Chalk also has a library of "off the shelf" mobile modules specific to BlackBerry® smartphone productivity.
In January of 2009, Chalk was acquired by Research In Motion (maker of the BlackBerry smartphone).
