Chalk Signs Software Licensing Agreement for Ten Thousand Seats of Mobile chalkboard™ With Fortune 200 Defense Contractor
WASHINGTON, DC – September 24, 2008
– Chalk Media Corp. (CKM) today announced that a Fortune 200 defense
contractor has licensed 10,000 seats of Mobile chalkboard™ Version 5.1
to utilize Chalk's BlackBerry Productivity Library, a series of courses
designed to provide basic training to BlackBerry users.
The
Fortune 200 defense and aerospace systems supplier, specializes in
defense, homeland security, and other government markets throughout the
world.
This deal represents Chalk's single largest deployment of
Mobile chalkboard™ to date. It helps validate the assertion that large
enterprises see value in rolling-out Mobile chalkboard™ broadly across
their organizations. Furthermore there is potential for the account to
grow and the client's decision was based in part on an expectation to
realize significant help desk support cost savings from the licensing
of Chalk's BlackBerry Productivity Library.
'We are ecstatic to
have won this deal with this Fortune 200 company,' said Stewart
Walchli, President & CEO, Chalk. 'This deal illustrates the
tremendous market opportunity we have with professional services firms
and government contractors, two industry verticals that have a very
large number of BlackBerry devices deployed.'
'In an environment
where smartphone growth is exploding and where businesses are looking
to reduce costs, we are proving that our solution is uniquely
positioned to help our clients save money, and increase their return on
their existing investments in BlackBerry technologies,' added Mr.
Walchli.
