Chalk Signs Agreement with Fortune 100 Telecommunications Provider
WASHINGTON, DC – October 9, 2008
– Chalk Media Corp. (TSXV: CKM) today announced that it has signed a
software licensing agreement for Mobile chalkboard™ with one of the
largest telecommunications companies in the world. The carrier has
millions of customers across the United States, including all of the
Fortune 1000 companies.
Mobile chalkboard™, Chalk’s
BlackBerry® communication software, will initially be used by the
carrier’s mobile consultants who develop mobile strategies for the
Fortune 1000 accounts. These consultants will be using Mobile
chalkboard™ to wirelessly distribute audio and video based podcasts to
their BlackBerry devices. Additionally, they will be using Chalk’s
software to deliver training and share knowledge.
“We are
excited to sign this deal with one of RIM’s largest carrier partners
and one of the largest resellers of BlackBerry devices worldwide”, said
Stewart Walchli, President & CEO of Chalk. “Moreover, this deal
creates tremendous leverage by getting our software not just in the
hands of our customer, but also in front of our customer's customers.”
“We
have already gained tremendous traction with several other
telecommunications companies as a result of this deal,” Mr. Walchli
explained. “This validates our strategy of first licensing our software
to those organizations that are leaders in our targeted industry
verticals and securing them as referenceable accounts.”
“The
initial deployment of our software is to a very elite and influential
group within this carrier,” Mr. Walchli continued. “By winning this
competitive bid, we believe that we are very well positioned to sell
additional licenses to this carrier for the 100,000+ mobile devices
that it has deployed across its organization.”
